Prayer Partners

Prayer Partners,

As you know, we are nearing the end of winter and the beginning of spring. I can't wait for the first flowers to begin blooming. Warmer weather is on the way and it can’t come too early for me.

Three major events happen in the month of March: March 9th begins daylight savings time; March 16th is Palm Sunday and "Heart Song" from Cedarville University will be presenting a concert on Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m.; March 23rd is Easter Sunday with three morning worship service opportunities and a glorious musical performance celebrating our living Savior Easter Sunday night at 6:30 p.m. Please pray for God to bless us in these special events and for people to come to faith in Christ.

Can I ask you to join me in praying for God to provide $1,000,000 for our new Student Ministry Building? This spring we will dedicate the new facility and with that comes the responsibility of the loan for the building. I would love to see God simply pay off the debt in one sum and/or aid us in erasing this debt within a short amount of time. I believe that God led our church to construct the building and you will soon see how it enhances our ability to minister to young and old alike. This is a burden I live with every day and I know God will supply the funding to meet the need. I would just like to see Him do it sooner than later and I know He will hear our prayers about this matter.

God bless you and let’s come to church expecting God to do a miraculous work among us.

Prayer Requests

Dear Prayer Partners,This week we have two performaces of our Huntington Festival of Christmas Music (Friday evening at 7 p.m. and Sunday night at 6 p.m.) and I want you to pray for God to use our music team to touch the hearts of the Tri-State with the message of Christ in song. This is more than just a concert to put us in the mood for the season, though I believe it will do that, as well. This is a time for exalting Christ and declaring Him to be the Lord of Glory who visited mankind to redeem us from our sins. There are few seasons more effective in sharing the Good News of Jesus than the Christmas season. I also need you to pray for the upcoming "Gifts for Jesus" offering on December 16th. No matter what people are planning to spend for Christmas I believe that we shouldn't forget to give a gift to the One Whose birthday we are celebrating and I can't think of a better gift than one that will make His name known in the forty counties and three states reached by our Daily Walk broadcast. Just ask God to place the desire on people's hearts to give a Christmas gift to Jesus and help us introduce Him as Lord to as many people as possible. Also, the Sunday of our "Gifts for Jesus" offering (12/16/07) we will have Dr. Jimmy DeYoung sharing a Christmas message in the two morning services and on Sunday evening. I know this will bless many people as they consider Christ's second coming in light of His first coming. Christ came the first time as the sacrificial lamb to pay for mankind's sins, but when He comes again it will be as the Lion of the tribe of Judah to rule over mankind on earth. Ask God to move upon people's hearts to invite their family and friends to come hear Dr. DeYoung that day. It may be the service when their eternal destiny will be changed. Pastor

Prayer Partners

Dear Prayer Partners,We are only a few days from our Harvest Sunday, September 23, 2007. I need you to pray that God will impress on people to be present for the services and that they will bring friends with them. Right now we have approximately 317 people who are being invited to attend the services, according to the faith-promise we made Sunday night. I’m praying for some to be saved on that day and others to be saved through our follow-up. None of this happens apart from prayer. Thank you for joining me in a concerted effort to pray for God’s power and His presence in all of our services and especially on Harvest Sunday.Pastor

Fall Schedule

If you received this letter earlier, I appologize for sending it to you again. We had an error while sending it and I had no way of knowing who had received it and who had not recieved it. Thank you for your understanding and patience.Dear Prayer Partners,As we begin a new fall schedule I need you to pray with me about our emphasis on being a servant of God. During our Sunday morning Bible study classes each teacher will be talking about the importance of being active in service through our local church and in other avenues God opens for you. There are many opprotunities in our fellowship for people to get involved and make a significant difference in others lives for eternity. God says that we are to pray that He would send forth laborers into His harvest (Luke 10:2) and I want you to join me in praying that our people will be responsive to these lessons on the importance of everyone serving God. Be in your Sunday school class and invite someone to come with you to hear these important lessons. God bless you and remember what James tells us, "You do not have, because you do not ask." (James 4:2 ESV). Let's ask and watch what God will do.Pastor

Prayer Partners Announcement

Dear Prayer Partners,Since the FOCUS Conference I haven't written to you about specific prayer requests, but now it is time for us to refocus ourselves to pray for God to continue His marvelous work in our church. As the new school year begins so do many of the things that will allow our church to reach new people with Christ's love. We have two Sunday's with special events happening that I want you to pray about. The first is Sunday night, September 2, with Dr. Tom Wallace preaching in our evening service. Following that service we will have a time for fellowship outside of the Welcome Center as we enjoy some watermelon together. On September 23, we will have Dr. Gene Williams with us all day for a special Harvest Sunday. All of the services will be evangelistic in nature and it will be a great opportunity for you to have friends and family with you to hear the Gospel message. I need you to pray for God to burden our church family for some lost souls they can have in the service. Then we need to pray for God to save those among us that are lost. Recently, I brought a message about simple things that all of us can do to help our church reach new people. I pray that you are helping in as many of these ways as possible. I believe God is going to do a special work in our fellowship that will be a revival in our individual hearts. Please keep praying for God to visit us from on high with His mighty power.Pastor
