Our staff has come from a variety of backgrounds but are all united in the vision of seeing the Gospel spread through the Tri-state and beyond. We consider it a privilege to work together in service of the Lord and pray we can assist you in discovering your God designed destiny.
Senior Pastor

Dr. David Lemming has been the Senior Pastor of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church in Huntington, West Virginia, since December 1982. He was saved as a teenager and early on became actively involved in various phases of Christian ministry. Under his leadership, Lewis Memorial has become a lively, growing fellowship of believers who are committed to sharing the Gospel with others, both in Huntington and around the world. He and his wife, Mary, have two grown children.

Small Group and Outreach Pastor

Tim and Myra Yates became members of the Lewis Memorial Church family in the fall of 1992. Barboursville natives, Myra attended college locally at Marshall University, while Tim chose to attend Tennessee Temple University where he completed his graduate and undergraduate work. He earned his MA at Trinity Theological Seminary and furthered his education at Tri-State Baptist College and Seminary, receiving his Doctor of Divinity degree in 1990. Tim joined the staff of LMBC in 2000, as the Church Administrator.

Minister of Music

Nathan and Audrey McClay grew up in southeastern PA, where they both came to know Christ as children. They both prepared for Christian service at Maranatha Bible College in Watertown, WI. Following their graduation and marriage in 1984, the McClays moved to Oakridge, TN, where Nathan had been called to serve as assistant pastor. It was in September 1991 that the Lord led them to LMBC, where Nathan became the Minister of Music and Audrey began to coordinate the nursery ministry. Under Nathans leadership, the music ministry has expanded beyond the choir, to include soloists and small ensembles, as well as an orchestra and handbell choir. Praise and worship of the Lord during our services are enhanced by the efforts of our singers and instrumentalists.

Communications and Discipleship Pastor

Dan Londeree joined the LMBC staff in August of 2007 as an assistant pastor. Dan helps in coordinating media ministries at Lewis, in addition to various pastoral duties. He also teaches the Steadfast Soldiers small group.
Dan first heard the Gospel through the preaching ministry of Dr. David Lemming at Lewis Memorial and the outreach of Gary Hale, II, now a missionary to the Dominican Republic. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior in 1998 and several months later recognized God's call to full-time ministry.
Dan is a 1997 graduate of Marshall University (BA Journalism and Mass Communications) and, in 2007, completed his Masters of Ministry degree at Temple Baptist Seminary.
Dan met his wife, Jennifer, through Campus Light Ministries at Marshall. They were married at Lewis in 2000. The Lord has seen fit to bless them with two beautiful daughters -- Emma was born in November of 2003 and Claire in April of 2006.

Senior Adult Pastor

Richard and Vida Sexton joined Lewis Memorial in August, 1991. RIchard came from pastoring the same church for 10 years. He has a degree in Theology and is well versed in the Scriptures. In 1991 he became the teacher for the Willing Workers class and in 1993, Pastor Lemming asked him to become the pastor of the Senior Adults. Until this time he and Vida have ministered to the Seniors by planning monthly activities, trips, and establishing ministries to meet the needs of our wonderful senior adults.
Richard and Vida Sexton
Richard and Vida Sexton joined Lewis Memorial in August, 1991. RIchard came from pastoring the same church for 10 years. He has a degree in Theology and is well versed in the Scriptures. In 1991 he became the teacher for the Willing Workers class and in 1993, Pastor Lemming asked him to become the pastor of the Senior Adults. Hospital Visitation Pastor
Bill and Debbie joined Lewis Memorial Baptist Church in March, 2004. Bill came to Lewis Memorial after serving as a bi-vocational pastor for 14 years. He is a graduate of biblical studies from The Institute of Biblical Studies in Lynchburg, Va. Having compassion for the sick and hurting, Bill felt the Lord’s call to serve on Lewis Memorial’s Hospital Visitation Team, and in 2005 Pastor Lemming asked Bill to serve as hospital visitation pastor. Bill now leads a team of dedicated men and women who visit and minister to our hospital and nursing home patients, thus fulfilling the call of the righteous in Matthew 25, “Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”
Bill and Debbie were married in 1974. The Lord blessed them with two wonderful children - a daughter, Danielle, who resides in Florida and a son, Philip, who is also a member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church, along with his wife, Tanessa.

Bill is a native of Alabama and moved to Huntington, W.Va. with his family when he was six years old. At the young age of eight, he accepted Christ as his Savior and has since served in many areas of Christian ministry.Bill and Debbie joined Lewis Memorial Baptist Church in March, 2004. The Waller family joined LMBC in June of 2000. Matt joined the staff in 2002 as a Part-time secretary and graphic designer but has since been given the privilege of designing and maintaining this website, editing the television broadcasts and laying out many other design projects.

Phil and Ann Newberry have been faithfully serving the Lord at Lewis Memorial Baptist Church since 1972. They prepared for service at Tennessee Temple University. Over the years, their service has focused on reaching the young people of the area. Phil and Ann have served as the youth leaders for junior high and high school students, directed the childrens church ministries and led the college department. Phil has also been active in the music ministry and is an ordained deacon.
